State Minister for Small and Family Business, Hon Natalie Suleyman, has toured the Greater Shepparton Business Centre, showcasing the vital role the regional incubator plays in supporting new and emerging businesses.

The visit highlighted the important role the centre plays in nurturing innovation, building capability, and driving sustainable economic growth across the Greater Shepparton region.

During the tour, the Minister saw first‑hand the success of local business Ochre Dough and its owner, Mikaela Egan, whose work exemplifies the impact of regional entrepreneurship. Operating from the Business Centre, Ochre Dough has grown into a nationally recognised brand focused on creative, inclusive learning tools for children.

Ochre Dough has produced 85,000 Australian‑designed sensory moulds to support the Victorian Government’s kinder kits program, demonstrating how regional businesses can deliver products with statewide impact. The visit underscored the value of local business support services in helping small enterprises scale, innovate and contribute meaningfully to community and industry alike.
